I graduated in July and went on to do a 3 month internship in Panama that I thought you’d be interested in. It’s an internship company that runs along side a property development company aiming to build a 100% sustainable town in a remote valley in Panama.

11177_10151979268272460_1669820281_nThe internship consists of working with the business director and the CEO as well as working on your own project which can be based on whatever you want that will contribute to the actual construction or future community. In your case probably construction and design related. You’ll live in Panama City and on site in the valley/jungle. It’s a unique company, country and development in which you can contribute and learn as much as you like.

You have to pay tuition for food and board but I can honestly say it was the best three months of my life, and everyone I’ve met through work experience and interviews before and after were fascinated by it. An experience that can put you above and beyond other applicants.

It’s a fantastic and exciting thing to do in a beautiful and amazing country. I certainly needed it after the dissertation hell that 3rd year was! I feel your pain.

Below are the links to the internship and property companies. I can’t recommend it enough.
