We all love to see innovative ideas that better peoples lives. I’m personally, really interested in seeing products that can power lighting sources or generate electricity using natural process or nature. We have uploaded a few amazing lighting solutions which have been designed and implemented to provide a simply process of lighting a room, easy and that requires no fuel or batteries.

1. Gravity Powered Light

GravityLight is a gravity-powered lamp designed for use in developing or third-world nations, as a replacement for kerosene lamps. It uses a bag filled with rocks or earth, attached to a cord, which slowly descends similar to the weight drive in a cuckoo clock. This action provides 30 minutes of light with one simply lift of a weight. http://youtu.be/zsMCKM3xNmg

2. Solar Bottle Bulb

It is a simple bottle bulb, usually a 1 litre soda bottle that is filled with a solution of purified water and bleach. The bottle is inserted halfway through a hole drilled in the metal roof and its sides are sealed. The whole deal looks like a bulb through a sunroof and provides a good amount of light by deflecting sunlight into gloomy interiors. The chlorine and bleach “poisons” the water to keep molds from developing so the solution can last up to five years. The clear and purified water helps disperse the light through refraction, so the light is not concentrated. It only costs $2-3 to make a solar bottle bulb that is bringing light to dark homes. http://youtu.be/rYTIYUUK70I

3. SolaTube

Solatube tubular daylighting  is an affordable and high-performance lighting solutions. Sola Tubes are used for transporting or distributing natural or artificial light, it brings daylight into interior spaces where traditional skylights and windows simply can’t reach. http://youtu.be/w7gOwcKbySg If you know of any more Self-powered lighting solutions or natural solutions to lighting.
